A mouth guard is mandatory for all players engaging in contact play (Middle School 7s and High School) and we recommend mouth guards for younger ages too so players get used to them from day one.
Once players commence contact play, some players, especially those in the “scrum”, may choose to wear a form of protective head gear called a scrum cap. These are lightweight and provide some protection for the ears. Players are also allowed to wear protective tops with lightweight shoulder pads under their jerseys. No hard plastic is allowed on the pitch. Please bring plenty of water to every training session. |
